We were supposed to just travel around Wales but then we ended up in this stunning town, which is right in the border of Wales and Herefordshire.
Hay-on-Wye is a very unique place – it has a different appeal. It has a lot of bookshops – I am guessing this is its differentiating angle from other touristy places in England.
If I had all the money in the world, I would live here.
Picture this: living in a small cottage, waking up in the hustle and bustle of a small town, head to the quaint cafes for some breakfast, wander around the old-themed bookshops – and just get lost in the crowd of town visitors….
Teeming with people, this was taken during a festival celebrated every year around the month of April – loads of sights and sounds, smell of foods and just plain people watching…..
The bookshops – what it is best known for…….
I miss walking around this place – that happiness you get exploring new places, seeing new shops, seeing new people, just the usual life of a typical tourist. For myself, I crave the satisfaction I get when exploring places, along with taking loads of photos and food sampling…..
These cakes is what Wales is all about – but I never had the chance to buy them – what a lost moment!
One of the best images I have taken in Hay-on-Wye — this is a traditional oven for baking pizza. I should have sampled the hot pizza that time….
Just a snapshot of the houses and cottages in the area…..
I am looking to get back to this place soon……Such an unforgettable place.
